# Cloche vs Lovable

Lovable builds your app with its own AI, and who sees what is left to rules you're responsible for. With Cloche, your own AI builds the app, and Cloche decides who sees what.

## Choose Cloche if

- You build in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor and want that AI to make the app [10].
- You want to share with people outside your team without paying for a business plan [1].
- You never want rules an AI wrote to be the only thing between a person and someone else's data [10].

## Choose Lovable if

- You want your code synced both ways with your own GitHub repository [6].
- You want building, hosting and a database in one product [9].
- Your company needs SSO today [7].

## Compared

| | Cloche | Lovable |
|---|---|---|
| Where you build | Your own AI: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor [10] | Lovable's editor, or Lovable's agent prompted from your AI [2] |
| Who can open the app | You choose, on every plan [1] | Anyone with the link, unless you are on Business or above [3] |
| What each person sees | Cloche enforces it. Your app's code never decides [10] | Rules Lovable sets up, which you are responsible for [11] [4] |
| Sharing outside your team | A link that needs no account, or invites by name [1] | Email invites on Business or above. Each person signs in to Lovable [3] |
| Keep building elsewhere | Pick it up again in any AI connected to Cloche [10] | Two-way GitHub sync on every plan [6] |
| Pricing | Free for 3 apps with unlimited users. Team is $29 a month [1] | Business starts at $50 a month [7] |

## The platform decides who sees what

On Cloche, a list is either shared or each person's own, and the platform enforces it. The code your AI wrote never decides who sees a row [10].

On Lovable, Lovable sets up basic rules for who can read which rows and asks you to review them [11]. Lovable's own docs say you are responsible for your app's security [4].

That gap has a record. In 2025 a researcher reported 303 endpoints with inadequate access rules across 170 Lovable projects [8]. The CVE is marked disputed. Lovable's position is that each customer is responsible for protecting their app's data [5].

## Safe sharing on every plan

Cloche's Free plan lets you choose who opens each app. Users are unlimited [1].

On Lovable's Free and Pro plans, anyone with the link can open a published app. Limiting it to your workspace or to named people starts on Business [3].

## Your AI does the building

With Cloche, the AI you already use writes the app and publishes it [10].

Lovable's connector works from Claude or ChatGPT too. It sends your messages to Lovable's own agent, which does the building and uses Lovable credits [2].

## When Lovable is the better choice

Pick Lovable if you want one product that builds, hosts and stores your data, with the code synced to GitHub [6] [9]. It also scans your app before you publish [4]. And if your company needs SSO this week, Lovable has it on Business [7].

## Questions

### Can I use Lovable from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Lovable's connector sends your messages to Lovable's agent, which does the building and uses Lovable credits [2].

### Can I make a Lovable app private?

On Business and above. On Free and Pro, anyone with the link can open it [3].

### Can I share a Lovable app with people outside my company?

On Business and above, by email. Each person signs in to Lovable with the invited address [3].

### Is Lovable secure?

Lovable scans your app before you publish. It sets up the rules for who sees which rows, and its docs make you responsible for them [11] [4] [5].
