    What Cloche does

    Cloche puts the apps you build in chat online.

    Ask for an app in the chat. When it works, ask Cloche to publish it. You get an address under cloche.cloud.

    Keep improving it from any chat. Each publish goes to the same link, and every version is kept.

    What to ask for

    • “Build me a small RSVP tracker and publish it with Cloche.”
    • “Put the app we just built online and give me the link.”
    • “Add a notes field to the app I made yesterday.”
    • “Is my app live yet?”
    • “Make a link to my tip calculator that stops working in 7 days.”
    • “Who can open my expense tracker?”
    • “Take away sam@example.com’s access to that app.”

    What an app can be

    An app is one client-side page: HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Cloche does not run server code or a build step.

    Saving data

    Every app gets its own database. The app names its lists when it publishes, and Cloche stores the rows.

    By default, everyone who can open the app sees the same lists, like a shared sign-up sheet. A list can also be private, so each person sees only their own entries. Private lists need people invited by email. Someone who opens the app from a link has no entries of their own.

    Cloche handles sign-in and who may change each row.

    Data from other tools

    An app can also show data from another product you use. It reads that data live, with each person’s own access to the product, so people see only what they can see there.

    The owner can instead keep a copy. Everyone who can open the app then sees that copy, including people with no access to the product.

    Who can open an app

    A new app is private unless you ask to share it as it is published. From the chat you can invite people by name or email, make a link, or make the app public.

    A link can stop on its own after 24 hours or 7 days, or you can stop it any time. Stopping one link does not touch the others.

    When the tools do not show up

    • Check that Cloche is connected in the chat’s settings, at https://mcp.cloche.dev/mcp.
    • Sign in again from the same settings if the chat asks.
    • Start a new chat. Some chats load their tools only when a chat begins.
